Privacy Policy
Effective November 1, 2026 · Uritverse Corp, doing business as hsn (Ohio, USA)
What we keep
- Your items: item numbers, names, prices, costs, departments, taxes, age checks and EBT settings.
- Your sales: each sale's time, register, cashier name, lines, totals, tax, and how it was paid (for example cash or card).
- Logins: the name and email of each person with access, and a scrambled (hashed) form of their password. We can't see passwords.
- Connector health: whether the store PC can reach the website and the register, and a short log of what it did.
What we don't keep
No card numbers. The connector is only allowed to read the payment columns it needs, and if a register ever puts a card number in a payment's name, Back Office keeps only its last 4 digits. We don't collect anything about your customers.
How we use it
Only to run Back Office for your store and to support you: showing your items and sales, putting your changes on the register, and fixing problems. If your store uses dot. (hsn's own item catalog) for names and prices, item numbers are looked up there; your store's name and sales are not sent.
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone except the companies that host our servers, or when the law requires it.
Who can see it
The people you or hsn give a login for your store, and hsn staff who set up and support stores. Every login is limited to its own stores.
Where it's kept and for how long
On servers hsn rents, with encrypted (https) connections between your store, your browser and the website. A nightly copy is kept by hsn so your data can be restored after a failure. We keep your data while you use the service and delete it within 30 days after you leave, except copies the law requires us to keep.
Your choices
You can download your item list at any time, ask us what we hold about your store, and ask us to correct or delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
